Frequently Asked Questions
-
I support people navigating a range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, identity-related challenges, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I especially welcome clients who want care that centers cultural humility, social justice, and anti-oppressive support. If you’re carrying something heavy, you don’t have to hold it alone.
-
Our first session is a chance for us to slow down, get to know what’s bringing you in, and talk about what you’d like support with. You can ask questions, share at your own pace, and notice whether the space feels right for you. I want you to leave feeling clearer about the process and supported in taking the next step.
-
At this time, I offer telehealth services to California residents only. If you live in California and want online, trauma-informed support, you’re welcome to reach out.
-
No, I don’t. Did you know your insurance might help cover the cost of therapy, even if I’m not in-network? Many plans offer out-of-network benefits, which means you could get reimbursed for a portion of each session.
And you don’t have to figure this out on your own. I can check your benefits for you and let you know exactly what you’d pay per session before we even get started.
If you have OON (out of network) benefits, you may only owe a copay at each session instead of the full fee. Want to see what that looks like for you? Contact me and let’s see, or use the link to Thrizer benefits calculator in my “offerings” tab. -
Rates and sliding scale are dependent on an anti-oppressive rate questionnaire. Every session lasts 50–60 minutes. If you’d like help understanding the full cost of care, I can also walk you through a Good Faith Estimate. You can also explore this rate structure under the “Pricing” page.
-
I partner with Open Path Psychotherapy Collective for sliding scale session slots $40-$80 with certain criteria to be met. Open Path Psychotherapy Collective is a non-profit nationwide network of mental health professionals dedicated to providing in-office and online mental health care—at a steeply reduced rate—to individuals, couples, children, and families in need.
-
You can schedule a consultation through the website. Once you reach out, we’ll connect, talk about what you’re looking for, and see whether working together feels like the right next step for you. I welcome you to reach out if you’re not sure whether your situation is a fit.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
